Default Urethane Motor Mount Inserts!

Wow...I didn't think anyone made these. I know I'm tired of replacing the rubber ones. Source is 'Aftermarket Suspension Parts. com' #41906 Upper & Lower 01-10 @$23.97. Thought someone could use the info.

You should do a little more reading about them before jumping on spending your money getting them?
From your past postings about what you are doing and how your PT Cruiser is IMHO you are not going to like them.

And if it is something that you want to do there are better alternatives.

I don't have the prejudice against polyurethane bushings that some folks have. And I tried a set of these same #41906 motor mount inserts as well. They were great at speed, but below 1000 rpm, they caused serious vibration in my 2005 GT Stage 1 with auto transmission. Idle and reverse were the worst.

These may have some advantage for performance. But based on my experience, they really aren't practical for an everyday driver PT with an automatic transmission. Some say that they are not as bad with a manual tranny, but I can't confirm that.

And one more thing. Since they cheap, it might seem fun to just try them on a lark to see what you get. However once pressed into new engine mounts, they are difficult to remove and can damage the rubber in the mounts. After my trial with the inserts, I went ahead and just installed another set of new mounts.

Any inserts that fit into factory mount will increase engine vibration and firmness. This could cause other engine mounts and parts to break. Also it has long been proven that using these type of does give an unpredictable engine reaction under extreme load.

Most mounts even a "TRUE" *solid mount (*there are none for a PT Cruiser) will be smooth at speed. This is when the engine and transmission are in a neutral set position.

As I suggested member thinking about using these should read more about them before perhaps spending money on

BTW to be clear I have several of these inserts I have used and even have around the garage. Been their done that wont do it again. There are better ways.

Are you doing the alignment procedure that is specified in the factory manual when you replace your upper and lower strut mounts! Other members have replaced the strut mounts every 8 to 10 months average until they did the alignment procedure.

That one was TRUE classic. If there was a PTCruiserLinks hall of fame, that one should definitely be there.
