Default Oil pressure sender for gauge?

Ok, after extensive searches here and on the internet (I don't know why searches NEVER seem to work for me, regardless of how many combinations of keywords I use!) I can only seem to come up with one post where someone said they installed an oil pressure sending unit that has outputs for both the factory "dummy" light AND an output for an electronic gauge. They said they did it, but no mention of the origin of the part. I'd like to add an electronic gauge and keep the dummy light. Any help is very much appreciated!

I've done this in the past with a Mustang, basically it's just an adapter that you screw your sensors into.
I do believe that their is 1 user on site that has done it.

Probably looking for something like this...
One sensor goes into the side the other into the end

Look on google search for dual oil pressure ports

There's going to be an extra consideration on the GT. The sending unit is shielded from the heat of the turbo. I don't have a photo of the shield it's self, but it's a tube that fits over the sending unit. Here's a photo of the sending unit on my PT before I put the shield back in place.

If you put a "T" fitting in this location, the sending unit will be closer to the turbo and some kind of additional shielding may be required.

this is how i search here.. in google i type "site:ptcruiserlinks.com oil pressure guage adapter" ie: https://www.google.com/search?q=site...+guage+adapter

i like the "oil filter sandwich" idea.

if you get sick of trying to make both fit, you could just get the 5/8" to 3/8" adapter to make the gauge sender go where the oil switch goes and then just ground the wire that attaches to the existing switch to keep the idiot light off, which is what i would do.

I put a 2 gauge pod on mine with a volt meter and a oil pressure gauge.

These are Equus brand gauges. The oil pressure gauge comes with a double sender so you can still have the "dummy" light.

I don't remember if I needed to use a different adapter.

Thanks for all the replies, I'll report back with which way I end up going.

I use the site:search method that was mentioned for other things... I would have guessed that the search tool on this forum would have worked at least as good... maybe I just don't do it right! Oh well. Thanks!
