Actually part of the reason we decided to buy a PT is because a friend of mine's mom rolled hers and came out unscathed so I figure despite the crumple zones destroying the body, it protects the passengers very well.

She was wearing the safety belt.

If you have a lot of snow, yuk sick of it and winter! spend the 450 bucks a the tire rack and get snow tires 4 and wheels 4 (steel) and be done with it. I don't drive my PT when the white stuff is falling. I use the wifes Grand Cheroke instead.

Cruise on!

Just been there and done both...read the steam room. I live in Minnesota got smashed into and ended up having to drive down a freshly snow covered bike path. The PT held up in both areas... drove out of a very steep snowed in ditch without any help.

SMASH Hope this never happens to anyone. 4 star crash rating though. And better that the PT's front end gets crumpled, rather than my front end. Just don't tailgate and let your 4 wheel anti lock disc brakes do the work (03' GT) and hopefully we can all avoid a crash lilke this.
