Default Roaring and Surging

I have a 2009 PT Base with a little over 91k milles with two issues. The first is the surging while idling, but it seems to only really happen when the A/C is on. The other is the loud roaring that you would normally think is the wheel bearings, it also starts vibrating when I get up to around 65+ mph. What else could it be? It's driving me crazy.

First, is your check engine light on and do you have any trouble codes?

I would suggest you jack up the front tires and see if they still make the loud roaring and vibrations. This will help with troubleshooting where the problem might be.

No check engine lights, etc.. Only annoying thing like that is the check tire gauge won't go off no matter what they do. lol

Here' some ideas to get the ball rolling.

The surging may be due to either a vacuum leak or the idle air control (IAC) valve. The IAC valve sometimes because stuck due to carbon. It may or may not set off a trouble code.

The roaring is possibly a bad wheel bearing or CV shaft.
