Default Camshaft Caps

Do you think it s normal to have some differences between the cams caps bearing?,

It s hard to explain, but

On the first picture there is a difference as I try to show on the picture below



On the second picture it is equal



On the third, there is nothing

if you mixed those up or are unsure about how they go i would seek out a qualified machinist to figure out where they go.

i would bare minimum install them and make sure there is no ridge where the openings align. i would also measure with an inside bore micrometer to make sure all the holes are the same diameter and are not tapered from left cap edge to right cap edge. bare minimum after seeing there is no ridge, install the cam/caps, and use plasti-gage to see that it squishes out equally.

if i mixed those up and i was spending as much as you, i would likely have my machinist mill the caps feet a few thousandths and then line hone the journals.

i'm very picky and will not just throw stuff like that together. you shouldn't either, IMO.

Caps are numberd front end and left or right
Look up cam shaft caps on google will see how they are numberd
