Default Dashboard indicators down

Hello and sorry for my english, I might not use the proper mechanical term sometime

I bought a 2005 2.4L PT few months ago and just decided to fix all its problems.

First one: the dashboard!

Has no information on it. Seems go be something very common on this car but I would need your help to give me some links/advices on how to fix this.

A "weird" fact is that my oil gauge is "working", it always says that my tank is full even tought it's empty.
Second thing, once I was drinving on the " réserve" (like few liters left in my tank) my dashboard went on for few minutes, twice! But needles were giving wrong information.

Is it something typical on this dashboard indicator problem?

Thanks for your help!

for the fuel gauge stuck on full, check the ground wire in this link: Embarassing question I have to ask because I made a huge error

you want to check ground wire G104. when it is broken, the fuel gauge will be stuck on full

Oh, that was unexpected! I'll check this out asap and let you know. So I need to remove my driver side headlight in order to get there?

you can check the ground wire near the fuel tank for continuity, or temporarily add another ground at the fuel connector to verify it fixes the problem. if it does i would then remove the light and have at it

All wires were ok, I had to replace the cluster.

I bought a used one from a 2.0 PT cruiser and it fits my 2.4l
It was a hard job to remove all the plastic stuff to get to the cluster but it worth it!
