Why are you getting new plugs and wires?? The car doesn't need them, and they won't make a difference.

Good list. You WILL need the plugs and wires - just a matter of when.
Might want to consider a strut bar.[?]

I had the BTG cat-back exhuast system (resonator + muffler) on my '02 5-speed Touring Edition and it was loud. There is a resonant peak at 3K RPM. Going with the axle-back version with a N/A is going to be very loud. Be prepared to add a glass-pack resonantor (or the BTG resonator) after the cat if it's too loud or if there's too much drone for you.

Im doing the plugs and wires for two reasons: 1. it was a lease car and im not sure how well maintained it was so im going through al this replaicable stuff and doing so. 2. i just want to, any chance to squeeze some go out of it ( affordably) and ill do it.

i was hoping to avoid the catback solution but it just sounds like i wont be happy unless i get it. Its a little harder on the wallet. Another $200 or so for a few more feet of pipe? come on!

i have been thinking of a suspension package but that will be later. I want to get the engine performance stuff all at once. the bill now is pushing about a grand, and for me that is alot. Maybe ill find me a corner and turn some tricks. javascript:insertsmilie('[8]')

Your spark plug numbers are off. It should be either #7440 or #7570 for the double platinums.
Magnecore part numbers are:
7mm - #47428
8mm - #40428
8.5mm (KV85) - #45428
10mm (R-100) - #49428

The Freedom Designs strut brace is only about a c-note, easy to install (if you have a torque wrench accurate in the 25ft/lb range)and will give a noticable improvement in handling. If the engine is running well, you can postpone the plugs and wires for a while.

technobear, E-bay has a post up for brand new K&N FIPK systems for about $210, $15 shipping. That'll save you about 70 bucks. You can probably find the wires and plugs on E-bay too. That should save you another 50 or so
