Lightbulb How do I know what engine I have?

Hi there,

I know it has been asked before (I have searched the forum) but I am trying to find out which engine I actually have.

Sounds strange, I know, but I have a special edition 2009 (it was registered in December 2009) and it has a GT badge on the back. Does this make it a turbo?

I am also aware of "lite" ones and other ones. I have seen something about the VIN number, but could only find up until 2006.

Thanks

Kate

Export models differ from US models.
Do you have an owner's manual? That should help.
Turbo models have more intake piping of large, black tubing.

I am thinking it might be a 2.4 with no turbo, although it hits a power band when you take off about 3000 revs, and keeps on going. It also has the shift stick, so you can driver the auto through the gears. It's faster than our other car (A Ford Territory) which allegedly does 0-100 kmph in around 8 seconds when my husband and I were sat at the front of the lights one day lol

I will have to investigate some more
