Never ask a bunch of car enthusiasts which spark plugs are best. You will get a bunch of different answers and then the enthusiasts will end up fighting amoung themselves.

That said, I like NGK V-groove plugs. They are well made, inexpensive and everyone I've ever bought was already perfectly gapped. And they will likely last until you decide to change them again whether that's 20,000 miles or 200,000 miles.

Yup Handy is correct about DIY enthusiasts.

On the other side of members that are in the Automotive business....I have tested using various equipment (oscilloscope) and found that a simple Champion #470 single electrode set at exactly .042 to be the most efficient in all aspect of engine operation. Changing them at no more than 12,000 miles or less will ensure that the engine will run the best.

I put way more than 120,000 on the original set on my '03 GT. They were a mess when I changed them, but new, properly gapped plugs made zero difference in seat of the pants feel.

Bragging about total mileage use of spark plugs only shows that some like to drive around with less efficient engine performance. There is no reason to go so long between changing spark plug. It has been shown that the simplest way to improve the overall drivability and engines performance output and efficiency to change the spark plugs more often.
