Hi new here and I need help. I have a 2007 pt cruiser the engine shakes I changed the upper and lower tension mounts i have changed the iac valve spark plugs and wires the engine still shakes but i I put a very small amout of gas to it it stops at about 900-1000 rpm's the middle mount is worn it is expensive to fix (i have no way to pull the engine so i have to pay someone to do it) am i missing something or should i get the middle mount replaced at idle rpms are at600-800 as best i can tell

Welcome to the forum

Are you the original owner? The best time and opportunity to replace the center motor mount is when doing the timing belt work, you can get to it then.

Well first you do not have to pull the motor to do anything on a PT well anything outside of tearing down the motor

There is another thread where a member took his car to a dealer to have the center strut replaced

Let's back up then. How many miles are on the car and do you know if the timing belt has ever been replaced?

Actually, per the Service Manual, to replace the center motor mount: remove engine. But it can also be replaced when doing the timing belt work, and, IMO, should be included in that job.
