Default Grenade style timing belt tensioner

I have recently installed this tensioner. The 01-04 pdf service manual downloaded from this site has a drawing (Fig. 171) that shows a tensioner with setting notch and spring tang that my tensioner or engine block do not have. I did notice that when "the pin" was pulled the tensioner presses firmly against the belt. Is this all that needs to be done, or do I need to search for some missing parts under my car?

Thank you!

i found the old style tensioner on alldata, but all it lists is how to remove the old style one, and says to see "updated tensioner info"

The tensioner on the 2002 is the older design and does not have the tang as you describe. The old version is fine and can still be purchased through a multitude of parts suppliers. Once the original style tensioner has been mounted in place and the belt installed correctly then it is just a matter of pulling the pin and then rechecking your timing alignment manually rotating the engine through 720 degrees of crankshaft rotation or two complete crankshaft revolutions and verifying your timing alignment.
