Default stripped intake manifold bolt

Two of the five upper intake manifold bolt inserts seem to be stripped. When I attempt to loosen the bolt, they spin. I can feel the backside and it is turning.

Any ideas?

Can you get the tip of a screwdriver on the brass insert? A little pressure on there should be enough to get the bolt to come free. If not you will have to pull the entire intake off so you can get better access to the brass insert, to be able to hold it somehow.

You could also remove the head of the bolt and drive it out, then use a longer bolt with a nut and washers...

If they spin, they are not holding the bolts to the manifold. Remove the unstripped bolts and gently pull the manifold up. The inserts should pull right up with the bolt.

Look here

Get some JB Weld. The inserts can be glued back in with some careful work.
