I put your post in the correct place. Here's an older thread that might help you...

Welcome to the forum

My Gen2 occasionally has this code. The fuel pump was replaced a couple of years ago. When my UltraGauge trips this code, it will be when I am on a long trip where I have to fuel up enroute. Shortly after I leave the gas station, the code will trip. But it never shows up around town whenever after refueling and it hasn't ever caused any other issues. I haven't worried about it because it eventually clears on its own from the UG.

How did you know your PT has this code? Did the Check Engine light trip? You may just want to keep an eye on your gas gauge and odometer to see if you are getting your usual MPG.

Please go to the Welcome New PT Cruiser Members section and introduce yourself and tell us about your PT.

Crewzin moved it. I feel lost, like when you get home from work and the woman done packed up and moved the mobile home out of the trailer park!

P0462 - Fuel Level Sending Unit Low Voltage Conditions

Possible Causes:
1. Faulty fuel level sensor
2. Fuel level sensor harness is open or shorted
3. Fuel level sensor circuit poor electrical connection

The PCM has detected the fuel level as being more than 100% for more than 4.5 minutes and triggered the P0462 code.

Has the fuel tank been worked on?
I would suggest checking the fuel level sensor harness. Physically check it from the PCM to the fuel tank and make sure its not rubbed through shorting to ground or open.
