Default Headlights and door locks stopped working?

Ok i came home last night and headlights were fine as were door locks came out to car today keyless entry doesnt work so i open with a key and decide to start it up to see if it is ok . I start it and no problems. I try my headlights to see if all is ok, they do not come on and neither do the fog lights or driving lights. I took it to the dealership they hooked up the scanner per repair manual instructions nothing showed up they said the batter being disconnected flashed all codes. I had the battery disconnected to clean the terminals after the keyless wouldnt work thinking it was bad connection.
I tested resistance on the drivers door lock switch. I can hear something actuation from the relay in the center of the dash when locks are pushed and when keyless is used.

I have an appointment for a week today, what could it be anyone have any idea or had a similar problem.

all is under waranty still so i hope it can be fixed.

Dan

CruiserDan,
Did you check fuse #10 (40 amp) in the Power Distribution Center under the hood behind the battery? That one fuse supplies power to both the headlight circuit and the remote entry system. Also check fuses #1 (25 amp), fuse #2 (15 amp) and fuse #3 (20 amp) under the dash. These are the fuses supplied by the one undr the hood and any one of them may also have blown.

Good luck

The "multi-function" switch that controls the lights has crapped out on several PTs, but that has nothing to do with the locks....[:I]
The fuses are good, but are you getting 12V at the fuse socket? Maybe a bad ground????
Let us know - I'm baffled.

i'm going to try and check the grounds i need to look and decipher the wiring guides in the manual. I have to get out the volt tester and check the sockets for the fuses and keep trying otherwise i'll have to wait untill friday to see what the deal is.

ok i went into the manual and i looked through diagrams and i have see that the multifunction switch runs to the door locks connecting the headlights to that and they all run on the same circuit, but i don;t know if it is actually the switch that may or may not be bad.

also

there is a headlamp relay in the interior fuse block that i think may or may not be bad.

my question what are any test procedures to test the relay or the muti function switch to check and see if they are the item at fault.

also does anyone know of a part number for the multi switch or the headlamp relay or any parts guys know replacement figures.

I'll keep reading trying to figure this out.

CruiserDan,
You don't say if you have a base model, TE or LE.
Multifunction switch P/N
with fog lights = 5019712AA
without fog lights = 5019711AA

Relay (used more than one place on the PT) = P/N 4638094

if i gat a chance tomorrow i may take the multi function switch and test continuity and resistance of the switch via the manual's instructions on page 8L - 25
