Default The fan does not blow after 1 hour.

My pt cruiser heating problem.
On longer roads, after about 1 hour the air flushes out.
It does not matter if it is heating in the winter or it cools in the summer.
I hear the fan motor going behind the glove compartment.
But there is no air supply at any stage.
The temperature of the air seems right.
Where am I looking for a problem?

Sounds like an actuator motor for the blend doors is malfunctioning. Good luck fixing that. I'm not sure, but you may have to remove the dash board.

Blower Fan Motor Resister.jpg

If it works on the high speed only then check the blower resister. When it is working is all the speeds working correctly?

When it does not blow air can you hear the fan change speeds when you turn the control speed knob?

Yes, it works in all speeds.
What controls the mixing door motor?
And where is it located?

You should check your cabin air filter. If it is partially clogged it might restrict the air coming in after a period of time.

The images below are for a 1st generation Pt Cruiser. You did not specify what year your Pt Cruiser is.

If the cabin air filter is good then it sounds like the blend door isn't moving to allow air to the dash vents as Chuzz posted. Is the air flow restriction limited to the dash vents or also underneath?

First take off the center dash if its only the dash vents and see if the controls are actually moving when you turn the dial.

Then see if you can get under the dash to where the wires actually go and see if they the wire contacts are good.

My pt 2000 vintage.
I do not have a cabin air filter.
And the air mixing is good.
On shorter roads, everything works okay.
The problem is only a long way.
No air supply.
But I can hear the fan.

Can the fan down power?
For example: thermal expansion, friction, etc.
