Default AC Stopped - Sort Of

The AC blew warm today all of a sudden. It has been working fine all summer (fortunately, today wasn't that hot).

The compressor is turning on but it seems to cycle a couple of times then quits trying. I haven't been able to inspect anything yet.

What do you think? Low on coolant?

Check the switch on top of the trap (the silver cylinder that both pipes go to up by the windscreen) is operating and check that your high speed fan is coming on with the compressor.
All things need to happen for it to work - if one part fails, or drops out intermittently, it'll cut out.
The compressor will lock in and run regardless of needing gas - or it did on mine before I got it gassed up.

Right, I plan to do a thorough inspection when I get the chance.

Are you getting any engine trouble codes?

First off, no codes. Also, the compressor is not running at all.

The A/C relay and fuse check out fine. I jumpered the pressure switch and it had no effect.

I am NOT seeing the fan come on with a cold engine and the A/C on. But after running the engine for a bit it does come on, both low and high speed.

I also checked the 40amp fuse for the fan, and there isn't one. Its marked in the fuse box (Turbo) but there is no fuse installed. So how is the fan even working?

And what is preventing the A/C from activating the fan?
