Default Middle motor mount stripped bolt

While putting the PT back together I stripped the torx bolt threads. Just got another from a junk yard but I couldn't get the big metal bracket. I'm debating pulling it to see if those threads are messed up too unless others have stripped the same bolt with the plate threads being ok. I know it's a long shot but I figured I would ask. Thanks!

I ended up pulling the bracket, cleaned up the threads and ran the new bolt from the back all the way through. Worked like a charm and it's back in.

make sure it was torqued to spec and didn't strip. if it's just tight enough, it will back out over time and fail completely. it will cause the engine cradle to fail, and taking out your upper and lower mounts, possibly the cv joint as well.

i had to remove the centre mount, drill out the threads and replace it with an insert. because the thread debth was longer than one helicoil, i had to stack up two and then cut off the last coil of thread.
