Default Got DTC P1128 today

My scanner just tells me that it is a manufacturer specific code. The code is not in any of the Field Service Manuals.

On line I did find one site that mentions:

P1128 Closed loop fueling not achieved Bank 1

The light came on on the way to work this morning, but now it's off. So, should I be worried?

Default Re: Got DTC P1128 today

I remembered this from a thread from a while back.

Possible causes:
1. Low battery charge
2. Faulty Totally Integrated Power Module
3. Fuel delivery system
4. Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor or wiring connectors
5. O2 sensor wiring or connectors
6. Engine mechanical system
7. Faulty Powertrain Control Module (PCM)

I would suggest charging the battery until it's fully charged. You might be able to get it running if the generator is not charging.

Does your Pt Cruiser have a TIPM? If so there has been more than the usual problems with the TIPM for the 2006 year. Anything else not working like one of the head lights?

Has your PT Cruiser been giving you trouble before this incident? We need a history of what has been happening for the last couple of months.
