Default Check Engine W/ No Codes Crank W/ No Start

2006 Pt cruiser 2.4 touring turbo started having rough idle issue where the check engine light started blinking at idle. now it wont start and blinks 11 times and chimes every time I try to crank it over
put a 3130lat obd2 scanner on it
battery voltage at 12.4v
when starting it drops down to 8.9- 10v
There were no global diagnostic DTC's set
on the Chrysler level the only thing set was a code for battery disconnect
the key fob works fine and has a new battery in it

A yellow Led was lit on the 3130 which means that vehicle’s emission monitors have not run their diagnostic testing, no Freeze Frame Data is stored or Powertrain DTC's. It also says Emission Related Engine Dtc's but nothing shows when scanned.

Im not sure where else to check

10 volts is too low when cranking. shouldn't go below 10.5

Remove the air box and clean the battery terminals of all corrosion or acid build up on the terminals. Charge the battery and try again.
You loose cranking amps with dirty or loose connections.
Next your starter may be shorting on the inside and causing a large amp draw.
Turn the headlights on try cranking the starter, if they go dim or starter just clicks, it power problem.
Make sure all ground and power connections are clean and tight.

Yank the battery and take it somewhere and get it load tested. Sounds like you've got a dead cell in it.

Thank you all for your input sorry for the delayed response, I didn't think about the battery because it was new but ill definitely clean the terminals.

Ive been driving it just to work and back and have come across new issues that may be battery related, im going to get that replaced today ( warranty )

P0300- cylinder 3 misfire
P0340- cam position sensor bank one ( cleared this code , it went away for a couple of days then came back on after the the car started running rough on an extremely hot day )

P0882 - Tcm Power Input Low
P0700 - Transmission Control System (Mil Request)
P0218 - High temperature operation activated


Ive changed the spark plugs for the misfire they have a gap of -0.050 NGK Gp platinum part# 3381
all 4 wires tested between 1850 ohms and 1920 ohms so I believe im good there, I have yet to test the coil but will do that tomorrow .

I believe battery might be related to the TCM power input now that you guys have suggested to change it, I will update the thread with more info

I would suggest resetting the DTC's with an OBDII Scan Tool after taking care of the battery voltage issue and then post what diagnostic trouble codes come back.

I don't know what the cause is, but P0300 is not cylinder 3. Cylinder 3 misfire is P0303. P0300 is a "random cylinder misfire" It is more likely to be something general, like the wiring, voltage, coil, your cam position sensor, than a specific cylinder would be.

P0300 - Multiple Cylinder Misfire

Possible Causes:

1. Fuel system problems exist
2. Erratic Camshaft or Crankshaft Sensor signals
3. Ignition system problems exist
4. Engine mechanical problems exist
5. PCM has failed

ok everyone , replaced the battery. car now requires cranking for several seconds while pumping the gas to turn on , it has an extremely rough idle and the lights flicker in park and shuts off sometimes when i try to reverse.

The original misfire code was p303 it said cylinder 3 specifically my apology's for the misdirection

average engine rpm 172

all previous DTC's cleared the new ones are:
p0340- camshaft position sensor circuit bank 1 sensor 1

p1603- PCM internal Dual Port Ram Communication failure

p0325- knock sensor circuit 1

U0101 Lost communication with TCM

p1603 again

p0340 again

Ive still yet to check the coil pack

i'd rather be there in person to diagnose this problem. when you have multiple strange issues happening at once it's hard to troubleshoot online. however with an experienced eye and proper technique it can really be something simple.
