Exclamation Clunking from front end after garage work

I took my PT cruiser in to get front brakes, rotars and a right side hub bearing assembly kit installed as the bearing were shot. Immediately afterward the front end clunks under my feet while driving and right turn causes bumping sounds. Is it possible that the mechanic broke something. Wouldn't he have noticed a problem with the suspension while it was on the hoist.

Unless you asked for the suspension to be checked, I doubt that the "mechanic" did anything more than what you asked for. I'd suggest checking the sway bar bushings and end links. If they're worn or loose, you can definitely feel the thumping under your feet. Just take it somewhere else this time.

i'd bring it back and let them look. mechanics are people and do occasionally get interrupted and forget to tighten things. i'd think they'd rack the car and look for free since it occurred only after they've touched it.
LionPT and Grasshopper77 like this.

the control arm bushings are a weak link on PT's, you may want to have those and the ball joints inspected.. stay away from the chain stores...
