Default 2003 automatic trans problems

Hey guys.
Another interesting problem just to fix. Should be easy. I'm just curious. My wife had 1.5qt low trans fluid. After the dip stick registered fluid, it had small fine air bubbles in it. I read in the PT could happen with low fluid and bad filter, something about the plastic mounting posts breaking off and it sits tilted. I got a new filter, dealer said no gasket, just RTv? I read you have to use both on another forum... someone alleged it came from a TSB. Is that true? Also.. the trans cv seal was leaking that I replaced, there was also a door on the back of the trans that also had a small leak coming from it. It doesn't have a gasket. Just 8.3lbs of RTV black. I figured it was the inspection cover. But I quickly learned I was incorrect. Idk what it is. It has a small hump in the back for gears. The bolts are a pain in the a-hole to get off and in a tight area. I got 6 out of 4 off and scrapped out a lot of gobbed silicone in the area it was leaking. Can I just RTV that area and reseal it and then then rtv the outside edge and it be ok? It won't be one continuous gasket then, More like 2.

Do it right or you will end up with 8.3lbs of RTV black again.
RTV needs to be on the inside of the bolt holes or circled around the bolt holes or it will leak.
I have no gaskets on any or the three pans, just black silicone.

Come on guys.... really at a loss for words now. Too many shavings and filings. The chassis has 127K, the rebuilt tranny was at 98K chassis. The rebuilt trans only has 29K on it.... and this is what I saw in the pan...... I was told by a shop in town here, based on a pure verbal phone call that the aluminum shavings in the pan were the casing falling apart, and due to the trans being like this after 27K, something major was failing here with it, and I need to just get a used low mile one, and run it.

The chunks in the one picture of the pan is a bad sign. Running it low on fluid besides getting it hot was was probably slipping making more heat.
With all that silicone who ever tried to seal the leaking pan probably added the wrong Tranny Fluid which resulted in the early demise of the transmission.
