No fire,crank but no start. Car ran when parked .
.. Is it possible that skim could have forgotten key..and does chip come in two parts?rubber has been removed and plastic chip looks damaged owners said it was already that way ..is there a separate sim that inserts into plastic chip? And can skim forgeting key cause no fire ? |

I would suggest doing a battery load test on the battery.
If battery checks out good check for engine trouble codes. Post what codes you find with an OBDII Scan Tool. Is the red little security light on the dash always on when you are trying to start it.

No crank reference signal at the PCM. Check the crank sensor wiring, connector or sensor itself. Napa sensor works, checked myself.

![]() What year is your Pt Cruiser? If it is a 2001 or 2002 Pt Cruiser there is a common problem of a wire harness that drops down from the bottom of the engine rubbing on the half shaft. When this happens the wires start shorting out and triggers codes including P0320.
