And i have proven relay is good.....and wire connections are all good.
I think it's aready been said: replace your fan assembly.

After that, if you still have a problem, trouble shoot to your hearts content - you'll always find a hatfull of electrical gremlins to entertain yourself with on a PT - especially once it isn't operating exactly by the book - as in, it has a dud fan.

The likelyhood is that you won't need to do half as much fannying around if you... replace the fan assembly.

I like to know why something isnt working and prove out...just how i am

And unless the engineer who designed the system programmed some weird idiotic requirements ...the fan itself should have nothing to do with what i am proving out right now.....

It doesnt make sense why replacing fan would fix my issue but hey you never know.....electronics can be very weird and maybe it was programmed that way so you are forced to buy a new fan lol

Although i do think its a pcm issue.......i may buy a fan eventually

I like to know why i do something...i dont like to just replace something and not know why?

But thats me.....

If the wiring and connector going to the engine coolant sensor checks out good I would suggest checking the engine coolant sensor.

The engine coolant temperature sensor is a Negative Thermal Coefficient , dual range Sensor. The resistance of the engine coolant temperature sensor changes as coolant temperature changes. This results in different input voltages to the PCM. The PCM also uses the engine coolant temperature sensor input to operate the low and high speed radiator cooling fans.

You can check out the reference resistance values for your engine coolant temperature sensor by finding out the specifications for your engine coolant temperature sensor.

PT's come with more than enough electrical gremlins from the factory. By replacing the (known to be dead) fan, you at least start from a known datum point: aka, how it's meant to be.

How long would you spend trying to make a computer run properly when you knew it had dying hard drive that sounded like a bag of nails?

You seem to just be chasing your tail, but if thats what you enjoy doing, have at it

It's OK, I know where you're coming from

Why don't you take the fan apart and see if you can fix it?

(Seriously!)

I have discovered a very odd pattern

Ive done this 3 days in a row if batt disconnected overnight and reconnect batt next day and start car and let get to temp at idle....the fan kicks on but if i turn car off and back on the fan will not come back on even when to temp

Definitely something odd with pcm going on...or something pcm doesnt like

Its not random......

Buying a fan is not too expensive i would do that if fixes problem but not going to do it unless i know for sure its not a pcm or other issue...

Im not going to invest money in this vehicle for a simple fan issue that i can just hot wire via toggle switch....which in the end may be what i end up doing

Post #10 in this thread is the one where someone spliced the fan wires together to operate at one speed:

Common AC/fan problem, uncommon solution?

Investigate the PCM ground wires from the PCM to the body grounds
There are several
