that sir, is all you... are you sure you don't want a pick and pull with low mileage? if you're 100% sure it'll get you on the road then I'm for it! but there will be a lot of other things to replace as well..
DO IT!

Itís drivable, but noisy, Iím not afraid of challenge, but I donít want to get myself into too much trouble. Always easier if some guidelines exist.
You said there will be a lot of other things to replace, what do you mean by it?

i had the manual trans differential in my hand. not sure what trans you're working with.

if you're playing with the 5 speed manual, the service manual i used is here: ftp://oskin.ru/pub/chrysler-dodge/ma...8F_NV_T350.pdf

Great manual rob, unfortunately I have base 2008 auto, kinda wondering what to do, keep driving and upgrade radio so I donít hear the noise or commit to this repair 🤔

You're SURE it's not just wheel bearings, right? No change in sound when you serve right and left?

Only asking as I've never heard of a differential bearing problem on here before.

well kinda like rob said- how did you determine the diff bearings? that tranny is pretty good. I guess if you jack up the front and have noise or grinding while spinning it... id say all sensors and drop the valve body and get a accumulator rebuild and the clutch pack and all other bearings- another words... a complete rebuild! I again have no doubts you can do it either, but id really rather have a beer on my day off...
there are tons of those trannys out there. time spent vs a reman or salvage..
remember one thing fails and bits of that fail makes other things fail

Bearings been replaced, that was first step trying to eliminate the possibilities.
My most experience with cars and trucks are with rear wheel drive, so after replacing CV axles and later wheel bearings I can only think of differential/differential bearings... but maybe you right, it may be easier to get new tranny and swap out versus tearing old one apart
