Strange Issue With My PT Cruiser

My PT Cruiser is 2005, NON-Turbo, 144 000 miles...it drove fine since 2006, no major issues. Two days ago I stopped to pick up my kid from school, forgot the lights on...maybe for 5-10 mi.The car wouldn't start. I thought I just need to jump start it but the engine was only cranking, wouldn't turn over. After multiple unsuccessful tries I had it towed and found out that the engine light is on(wasn't there before), and I got 2 codes: p0340, p0522.
I had the battery tested, it was good(only a couple of month old).
I had the camshaft position sensor replaced but the car still wouldn't start,-just cranks, not turning over.
Can somebody give me any ideas what else to look for?
I appreciate any help!

what store did you buy the sensor at and how long ago? the cheap ones do not last at all... maybe someone can post how to test it if you're handy with a multi meter but chances are its bad. every time we got that code regardless of how old it was, that was the issue. and we bought 2 from autozone till we bought one from the dealer :) once you get it running then see if the other code still comes up,
some members had to replace the magnet on the actual cam that signals the sensor, fwiw, we have the same year and ours is original- albeit with no visible damage. when its time to change the crankshaft sensor, do yourself a favor and use oem Chrysler- its a bear to change. might as well do it now!
I forgot... so killing the battery and getting the codes were surely just a fluke. weird stuff happens...

Also check the wiring harness of the camshaft sensor for breaks and tears as it snakes it's way around the back of the engine block. Second, check the electrical connection and make sure it's making good contact.

P0522 Engine Oil Pressure Sensor

Have you looked into this..??
The Cam Senor usually won't keep your car from starting, but the Oil Pressure Sensor will.

P0340 - No Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Failure Conditions:

Possible Causes:

Camshaft Position Sensor connector is damaged, open or it is shorted
Camshaft Position Sensor signal circuit is open or shorted to ground or to battery voltage or 5 volt circuit
Camshaft Position Sensor 5 volt circuit is open or shorted to ground or to battery voltage
Camshaft Position Sensor ground circuit is open
Camshaft Position Sensor is damaged or has failed
PCM has failed

You might want to check and see if the Camshaft Sensor is working properly.

I'd reinstall the original sensor, leave it unplugged and crank the car. Even with a bad cam sensor, with extended cranking, the cars should start, right? I THINK that's how it works.

P0522 - Engine Oil Pressure Sensor voltage low:

Possible Causes:

1. 5 volt supply circuit is open or is shorted to ground
2. Oil pressure Sensor signal circuit is shorted to ground or to sensor ground
3. Oil pressure Sensor is damaged or has failed
4. PCM has failed

Your Camshaft sensor or wiring going to the camshaft sensor or the oil pressure sensor (both 5 volt lines) might be shorting to ground pulling the 5 volt line down,

I appreciate your speedy responses, wow! I bought the camshaft sensor from Auto Zone, and unplugged the sensor then tried starting but it's the same issue;won't turn over.
Wiring also seems to be OK.
I didn't look into the oil pressure yet, Will do than I'll update.
Thank you again for taking your time to help me

You have 144k miles on the car? Have you ever had the timing belt replaced? If not, I would suspect this is your problem.

I'm not clear on what you mean by "it won't turn over". To me, that says the engine doesn't spin when you turn the key in the ignition. To some, it may mean that the engine spins, but doesn't start. Can you clarify which one of the examples it is? If it spins and won't start, then I'm more inclined to agree with myckee about checking the timing belt.
