Default Diablo intune i3

Just got the i3. After getting it married to my 04 PTGT, it has the 91 and 93 octane tunes. I was hoping to the 87 or economy tunes but it is greyed out. Any help appreciated. My first time doing this

Use the performance calibration and drive it see what your MPG is. Then you can make slight adjustments from there.

You would be surprised the increase in MPG you get with the 93 calibration.

No.

Unless you do careful calibration adjustments based on some collected or observed engine data or operations the adjustments needed are beyond the end users access to which you need a CMR to calibrate for you.

I have changed mine (CMR) to use lower octane fuel in "a pinch" but even with that my knock values go off the chart and it will drop timing and power and the engine still "pings".

If you are trying to do this as a way to save a few bucks on fuel I would not suggest it.

My question is, why get a performance tuner and expect to run 87 octane fuel in a vehicle that calls for 91 minimum in stock form?!.
I'm not being a dick or anything, I just don't see spending 3-4 hundred dollars on a device but want to cheap out on fuel.

Valid question. My 04GT is a daily driver and I am using 91 in it now. I got the tuner to improve mileage/preformance at the 91 tune - which it has. But I would like to see how it does at 89 or 87 which is greyed out.

If you really want to use 87, you could install a turbo-lite pcm in your car. You will lose some performance but might gain some mileage. Note that your Diablosport will not work with a turbo-lite pcm.

JOKE:
He could even do a Arkansas hillbilly DIY and disconnect the boost valve control arm tie the valve in full open position to completely bypass all boost.

I did put a bunch of performance stickers on it but don't really see any change
