It's probably a leaf. I had one get caught in mine. My AC belt also got dry and made a horrible sound, so they oiled it, I ran it a while and so I've had no problems since.

not in my pt but in an older car i have 1970 dodge dart there was taped in there from the factory would whistle like crazy !!
