You might check youtube. I did mine by myself in about 4 and a half hours. It was a pain in the neck. It's better if you have a helper. Especially to guide the steering connector back through the floorboard opening. That's where I had the problem. Mine went under the floor insulation and the firewall and I didn't realize it until I tried to fasten everything on the drivers side. Took me about an extra half hour because of that oversight.

Thanks for the reply, I have searched YouTube and haven't found a video on this subject. Does the Kframe have to be removed? Or perhaps removing the Kframe make the job easier? My car is a GT so there isn't much room to work. I appreciate the info!

Viewing some of your previous posts, I believe that you have an '03?

Do you have a copy of the Service Manual?

If not, then you can download a copy of it from this link from my DropBox:

Section 19-28 is about the steering rack. On page 19-31 there is a special note about scribing the front suspension crossmember to the vehicle before removal.

Thank you Eckstein! Yes my car is an 03, I appreciate that inforation! 👍I will download the service manual you provided, I've been under my car a few times the last couple of weeks keeping an eye on the leak trying to figure out where it's coming from, it's definitely the right seal, I hate oil leaks! Haha! Thank you!

Hey JD, I don't remember what all I had to take loose. I've had two brain surgeries and my short term memory doesn't work very well. I DO remember having to take the sway bar out of the way, and that's about all I recall. Except it was hot and so was I by the time I got done. If you just take your time, I'm sure you can do it too. Mine was leaking on the right side too. Damned internal seal of some kind.
