Default Frustrated

2007 Pt with 200,000+ miles. Ran fine, did the water pump/belt/idler/tensioner and now engine cranks over but will not start. PO codes:463,113,499. I'm not a mechanic obviously and make mistakes often. My research indicates an over charged fuel sending sensor and I have no resistance in the Fuse panel on #23&25 spayed fuse receiptors with key turn on..Battery is 12.55 volts. I have not yet checked for spark,or the cam sensor check's I've read about. I am thinking I may have smoked my pcm by hooking the battery cables up in wrong order? Like I said I'm not the brightest bulb in the pack and any help is appreciated..

those codes indicate you have a broken or disconnected ground wire.

see here, as this pertains to the ground that would affect those sensors
Embarassing question I have to ask because I made a huge error

look where he circled G104

Thanks Rob 302, I did find the rear engine block ground strap unhooked earlier and ground it to a screw on the fender, maybe not the best choice. Do you know where the rear ground strap goes to be properly grounded as it made no difference? Cranks but doesn't start.

i'm not exactly sure what you are talking about.

do you hear the fuel pump run for 3 seconds when you turn the key from off to run?

If you reset the engine trouble codes do you get the same codes back?

It would be helpful if you post code descriptions, few people have memorized all the codes.

Look at my post 5 here for grounding issues and. .

Momentary ignition shut-down

look at another persons post 12 for pictures of the grounding points, ( This is the driver side, there will be one grounding point on the passengers side.

I just looked up the codes

Fuel sender high

Intake air temp high ( this does not go a fender ground, both wires go to the engine computer, perhaps it is unplugged. )

Evap canister vent high.

None of these will keep the car from starting.

As Rob said, does the fuel pump run for 3 sec on key up?

You gotta have fuel, spark, air and compression for an engine to run. I suggest you start checking each one.

Rob302, Thank you for the guidance, 3-104 ground wires had slipped the connection. It took a bit of thinking to get a solid connection, but all it solid and the Pt fuel pump went zzzshup and the motor went gggggrrrrrrrr and I went yiiiippppeeeeee and danced around a bit. All that to say Thank you Thank you Thank you..

Sorry I was in the shop and Thank you all for the responses. It was the ground wires at G104. I assume the liftiing and lowering during the timing belt/water pump and equipment installation caused the wires to be pulled loose. I'm not a mechanic and don't understand the electrical system schematics very well, and so very much want to Thank each of you for the responses.
