a lot of times on these cars the computers become defective over time and heat cycles and display very strange symptoms. if there's no issues with components or wiring - which can be time consuming to determine a cause or a lack of a cause, the only thing left is the computer,.

I would also suggest to take off the wire going to the camshaft sensor and see if your computer triggers the code for it.

Yes the scanner was hooked up right after and read nothing. Fyi all my dash lights do come on when i initially turn my car on like they are suppose to including the engine light...so i know its not burnt out. May just not working when its suppose to...not sure
