Default Fuel Economy

What kind of fuel economy does everyone get with their PT's?

I'm not going to say yet what I get in mine, but I think mines lower than it should be, but I'd like to hear what others get and do a comparison.

How many KM's or Miles do you get to a tank/half tank/3/4 tank..whatever gauge you want to go by... and KM's or miles is fine...Google can convert it for me...

This is a very complicated and complex question....with a multitude of variables, and there has been quite a few threads about the subject as well over the years. Nothing new about it but kinda old and nothing has changed for answers on the MPG subject. The best advise is to post your MPG and maybe we can Q&A you if it is not on par with what perhaps your personal PT Cruiser should be?

My 01 LE automatic averages 20-21 mpg. Mostly driven to and from work, between 25 and 35 miles per day. I have seen 22 mpg on a couple of rare occasions. Living in Texas, most of this is with the A/C on, although it doesn't seem to make a difference. Either way, the mileage is the same. I'm with NitroPt, there are ALOT of variables in play on this.

I appreciate all the feedback, but in the end I'm more looking to find out how far you can go on a tank or 3/4 tank or 1/4 tank.... I would like to do a comparison to what I am getting. I've never sat down to work out the MPG but I have a good idea what I get on a tank full, etc.

Edit: Ok..so I'm averaging(give or take) about 300 kms(186 miles) to a tank full. Somehow this seems low for a little 4 cyl.

Thanks for being willing to help a guy out BTW!

Yeah I know... I just have never sat down to work out the exact numbers... and yeah I know there are a lot of variables...but that's why I'm just looking for a general average...

IE: If you get 600 kms to a tank average, then I've got a serious problem but if you get 325-350 kms on a tank then I know I'm inline and it's just how the car is...

Does that make sense?
