Default 2003 PT Cruiser GT power steering pressure switch

Does anyone know if it's possible to bypass the power steering pressure switch on the steering rack of a 2003 PT Cruiser GT? The new assembly I purchased and already installed without paying attention that the new rack did not have a port for the pressure switch now I'm getting a code for that pressure switch

Try plugging the pressure sw in to the harness, an open circuit may trigger the code ( and tie it off so it does not bounce around. )

Does the pressure sw have 2 or 3 wires? If 3 wires it would be sending an exact pressure signal to the engine computer so bypassing this will take a bit more work ( some resistors ) If 2 wires it is likely just an on / off switch.

What is the exact description of the code?

Generally, the pressure switch is there to boost idle speed when the steering sees high pressure during parking.

yeah take a paperclip and jam it into the switch harness side. reading the description of that fault code the computer triggers the DTC when the speed is over 50mph and coolant temp over 68F .for over 40 seconds. and the switch remains open. so jumpering it closed will simply make the computer ignore the symptom. see if it works. then go back to the switch and zip tie the paper clip onto the connector and put tape over it.

I thought about doing that but didn't want to take a chance of messing something up, I knew the PT experts on this forum would give me the right information, I appreciate all your responses, thanks!
