Default Air filter hose

Hello I was changing the battery in my cruiser and in order to do so I have to take the air box out while I was going to put the air box back in the little hose on the side snapped I donít know what itís for or how important it is anything can help thank you

That would be the Make Up Air Hose (near the yellow arrow):



Inside the air box will be a small foam Make Up Air Filter:

But it’s that hose that I’m talking about it broke is it important to replace

When you say "snapped" do you mean that the rubber hose tore and is broken? Or that the nipple connection point on the side of the airbox broke off?

It does serve a purpose, so either way, you should fix it.

If the hose tore, you should replace it.

If the nipple broke off the box, there are some very good plastic adhesives and epoxies that you may be able to glue it back into place. Or you may have to go to a salvage yard and get a replacement airbox.

The hose and foam filter is important. It keeps grit and sand out of the inside of the engine.
