Default Pure Gas

Hey guys!

I keep seeing more and more gas stations offering Ethanol free gas, aka pure gas. I know a bit about what it is, but are there any benefits or downsides to it?

Can my regular car use it?

Why should I switch?

Will I experience worse, better or the same performance and fuel economy?

Thanks!! This has just been bugging me for a while, wanted to know some of you guy's thoughts.

I usually gas at the Exxon on the way home from my work, but Shell Vpower is my fav.

I'm not sure if it is legal to fill your car with it at the gas station. It might vary by area. Some claim to get a bit more mileage and power. I haven't seen it in the New England area for many many years.

I highly recommend it for tractors, pre 1996 cars, lawn equipment, and chainsaws.

You must be thinking of leaded gas, ethanol free will offset higher cost with better mpg.

I've been using Chevron Ethanol-free 94 octane EXCLUSIVELY for the last five years, it has been great fuel for my Turbo lite...

I'd buy ethanol free premium if it were available here.

According to this website:

https://www.pure-gas.org/index.jsp?stateprov=KS

There are several stations in Wichita, KS that offer pure gas, in 87 & 91 octane.
