Default Downpipe Cut-out Clearance w/ lowered car

I'm considering exhaust options on the Salvage PT GT, and have a quick question.

I will be soon lowering the car on Eiback Pro Kit springs (already have them). I have been considering a downpipe cutout from needswings, so that I can remain in stealth mode when needed. Having one car that wakes the neighborhood on cold starts is quite enough. However I don't like how quiet the GT is all the time.

Question is, when I look at pictures it looks like the downpipe cutout hangs down lower than other parts of the car. I don't want to put an expensive electronic cutout on there, only to have it ripped off the first time the car scrapes over a speed bump.

Anyone have a lowered car with the electric cutout attached to their downpipe can confirm how low it hangs? Have you ever scrape the cutout?

Thanks!

No, seriously... when I look at the photo on needswings website, it looks like the cutout faces downward, and it appears lower than the rest of the car around it once you add the cutout. I am concerned that it hangs lower than the crossmember and would thus easily be scraped on a lowered car.

In both pictures below, taken from the needswings website, it appears to be sticking down like a sore thumb. But maybe it's just the camera angle chosen to show off the downpipe:

See, that's why I posted this!

Those pics are what needswings has on the PT page. Yours doesn't seem to hang as low.

EDIT:

Just to clarify, did you make your own cutout downpipe or is that the needswings one?

some vendors are NOT the best place to get the best mounting location for some projects...like an electric exhaust cut out. That one from need wings is in the worst p[lace possible for a few reasons.

This really is more an exercise in common sence finding the best mounting location for the cutout.

So basically it might be an issue with the Needswings downpipe, but doesn't have to be an issue.

Beginning to think I should just buy one of the super-cheap ebay catless downpipes and add the cutout myself either on the downpipe or somewhere else on the exhaust.

I'm not building an all-out extreme build so efficiency isn't the primary concern. Practicality is more important.
