Default top tranny leak

I found that the trasmission is covered in oil on the top, under the fuse box . but i dont see how it could be leaking from the top part. Powersteering is always full.trasmission gets low on oil about once a month i check it and is a quart low. Any idea where it could be coming from?

Is it covered in oil, or transmission fluid? What color is it? What does it taste like?

transmissions don't burn oil, they leak, do you have a oil spot on the ground where you park?

Oil on top of the engine could be coming from seal on cam sensor or valve cover, PVC hose.

If it is trans fluid, i'd check the clamps on the front of the trans. There are 2 rubber hoses coming from the radiator.
