Default Aftermarket horn

Has anyone here ever added an (extra-loud) aftermarket horn to the PT Cruiser?

I know there is not a lot of extra space under the hood. I was curious if anyone else had attempted this.

Yes, a lot of us have. You usually have to add a relay somewhere...or a button depending on your install.

I mounted this WOLO Model 419 air horn in a pocket at the front corner of the bumper. It's advertised as twice as loud as a stock factory horn.

I took this pic when I recently had the bumper off to install a new lower grille. The horn is mounted onto an L-bracket then held in place by the canister on the frame. No extra wiring or any other electrical modifications need to be made, the stock wiring plugs directly into the horn. To install it, all you need to do is to gain access to the corner of the bumper by pulling back the fender liner. I put a small piece of foam at the top front corner of the horn but it doesn't contact the bumper cover on the inside, just my added protection.
