Default Looking for possible cause..error codes

Some of you know this car has been confusing, as per my previous postings. We have a new issue.

I wanna say the last month on/off temp gauge goes up while in idle, but never into the "hot" zone.I've noticed when this happens coolant seems to be empty, re fill then it's fine..Yesterday, the engine light came on (we have an egr issue), but took it to Auto zone anyways. It pulled only error code po605 & po700..Any ideas on this specific car?? We brought it to our mechanic and he referred us to someone else and said it just needs to be re programmed.. It's an auto 2001 Cruiser with roughly 155k Thanks.

Here is a similar thread:

Error Code P0605

You might try resetting the PCM by removing the battery cables. It won't cost you anything to try it.

Thanks, I'll read that thread. We unplug the car daily when not in use due to a drain and that hasn't fixed it

I would suggest taking the Pt Cruiser to a transmission repair shop where they will give you the actual P0XXX code for the. P0700 code. The P0700 code is only generic. This way you have more information for the final diagnosis.

Our mechanic gave us info for the tranny shop, he said it just needs to be re programmed, so we shall see once we can get it in there.
