I've NEVER seen a line break like that. It looks like it's been cut. Seems that now is the time for a new line. And you may want to take the pump off and give it a good cleaning. If you don't want to take it off, at least clean the screen. Several members here have done that so you should be able to search it and find out exactly what they did.

My air con pipe was snapped like that, directly where it met the compressor.

I'd be checking engine mounts before I fitted the new pipe, because I suspect that's what did for my air con. One of the engine mounts was almost new when I bought the car - it's odds on it was replaced because it was so shot, it broke the pipe...

I drove the 2.0L half way across Europe and back with no PS when a bit of crap jammed the pressure release on the pump open.

Wasn't too bad, so long as you kept it moving.
Fk5 and chuzz like this.

Just finished up replacing the power steering hose
was not that bad..other it took 2
people to put the belt back on..
not sure what caused it to shear off,,other than
one of the hose brackets on trans,,was loose..

I used this link for the replacement instructions..power steering high pressure hose

Well that didn't last long...
Started screaming again...
Then busted the line in the same place...
I googled it found same problem. ..
Was caused by a plugged canister...

Here's how I cleaned the reservoir screen and flushed my power steering:
