Default Help. Cv axle

At auto store now. 2001 pt. Non turbo auto.

I got the wrong axles. One is longer than the other and has rubber damper

Can’t find the right one


Can anyone help?

Mine is different. Mine is longer. Has a rubber donut in the middle

Non turbo have unequal length half shafts. The passenger side or right side will be the longer shaft and usually have a rubber damper about midway.

I was wrong. The first one I got was correct.

Mine just looked longer because the joint separated and the rubber boot slipped making the metal shaft seem longer.

Just finished. New cv axles, ball joints. Tie rod ends.

Going for 4 wheel alignment soon.

You're gonna do all that, you probably should have just replaced the lower control arms too. Just my 2 cents worth.

I took it all apart 80,000??? Ago and I installed energy suspension bushings all around. I had no issues or noise, so I just left it.

The ball joints and tie rod ends are autozone lifetime replacement. So there free
