Default Flex Fuel

I see that the PT tune file in HPTuners has a table for Flex Fuel.

Are PTs setup for it?

Why save a few pennies on fuel in exchange for less mileage and lower performance?

According to the Fuel Freedom Foundation the answer is NO!

PTs are not set up for flex fuel, the lack of the required sticker or a yellow fuel cap should have been your first clues.

However, since you are a trailblazer, go ahead and try it and report back how that worked out for you!

The problem with many cars is fuel pump, hose and fitting compatibility with higher concentrations of ethanol. Even if the PCM will support E85 or a higher ethanol blend, it may shorten the life of your fuel system a great deal in a car not setup for it.

That part I knew.

I just didn't know if PTs were Flex Fuel or not.

PT Cruisers are not Flex Fuel enabled. You will have to modify the entire Fuel system to enable the option and get a tune setup to run it.

That's exactly why I asked. The Flex Fuel parameters appear to already be there. Which made me wonder if the hardware was there.

Thanks to everyone for their input.
