You might also notice the wedge covers the IAC port entrance. I believe this is why the car pissed me off to the point I disconnected the IAC in summer with the air conditioning running. The idle was so much higher driving the car was annoying because I like to downshift and it wasn't slowing down. Not a ton higher, just enough to be annoying. I believe that the smaller opening and the plastic turd covers that hole to save Chrysler money on having to do the engine calibration twice. "Make this hole smaller, cover that hole up, good enough."

Apparently I was a new owner at that time. I didn't even know what year my car was when I did that mod. Lol. I never had a 2001 it was always a 2002.
