Lightbulb Wiring to the Front Turn Signal Bulb

On our Cruisers the front turn signal/parking light has 3 leads.
So, the bulb probably has 2 filaments.
One input for just parking light.
Brighter filament for turn signal.

1. Which colored lead is which?
Which is the ground?

2. ** Since I will be using 2 separate LEDs on my Morette Headlight Mod; one side marker, and one forward turn signal: can I simply run both hot leads to the LED's together to one hot line???
** I am thinking that the two different filaments in the OEM amber bulb is a complication for using one-brightness LEDs!

I could use only the turn signal lead to the LEDs, with no running light when the head lights are on. That would be the simple fix.

I do have a separate side reflector already mounted in front of the front wheel wells.
