Default can my idle control valve be cleaned

i have a 2007 pt cruiser convertible , once warm the idle is erratic, it can be fine for a few minutes then the engine drops so low it feels like its going to stall , i want to know if the idle control valve can be cleaned or does it need to be replaced

It needs to be replaced. You can't clean the G2's 2006-2010.

My PT started acting the same way, even the idle going down and starting to run rough. Turned out it was my high speed fan gone kaput when trying to use the A/C. New fan and all was right with the world.

i did try turning my ac off to see if it still did it and it was better but still felt like it would almost stall, i did change the idle control valve(5 minute job) but haven't driven it yet
