Default Where are the fan relays?

Good morning.

I'm working on a newly acquired '06 with 64.5k miles. The engine is running hot and I figured I'd check the fan relays first (easiest to reach). There are 2 sets of relays - one set on the fan shroud on the passenger side and the other above the shock tower on the driver side. Both sets have the same part number. Which are the ones I should check? Thanks.

Since they're all the same number, I'd just try swapping one at a time and see what happens. 06 is the first year for the TIPM, so I'm not sure what you've gotten yourself into. If I were going to test relays, I'd start with the ones on the fan shroud, but that's just my way of thinking as I know NOTHING about the TIPM setup except that I don't like it. Good luck with it and I'm sure one of the smart members will tell you what to do.

It's the 2 on the fan shroud.
The other 2 are the Starter Relay & the Auto Shut Down Relay.

Fan motors are very suspect and not very expensive for complete fan assembly
unless its turbo.
