Default Brake line Fitting Sizes Problem - help!

Just about done installing the Wilwood Brakes on the Panel PT....BUT...have run into 2 problems.

WILWOOD DOES NOT PROVIDE ALL THE PARTS OR ANY GOOD INSTALL DIAGRAMS!!!!!

One problem I solved by calling Wilwood, and trail an error....... was a 45 degree elbow fitting onto the caliper that is practically the same size on both ends!
BOTH ENDS WOULD SCREW IN TIGHTLY....but only one end would fit the braided brake line kit end!
DUH!
One Down!

Secondly, THERE IS NOT THE PROPER FITTING TO CONNECT TO THE BRAKE LINE COMING TO THE WHEEL WELL TO THE BRAIDED BRAKE LINE TO THE CALIPER!
They provide a male to female cylinder shaped connector that goes through a supplied "L" flange to replace the OEM flange mounted on the body. Fine!

BUT......to connect the two....I NEED A DOUBLE MALE ENDED FITTING!!!!
Now, I can take off that braided line and take it down to an auto parts store...
But, I CANNOT take off the brake line that comes to the wheel well.

The end of that brake line is a female threaded pressure sleeve, a female fitting on the end of the brake line.
***I have looked everywhere for a diagram, and specs, even my BIG PT Service Manual!

***DOES ANYONE KNOW THE SIZE IF THE THREADED FITTING ON THE END OF THE BRAKE LINE AS IT APPEARS INTO THE WHEEL WELL???

Red face Re: Brake line Fitting Sizes Problem - help!

DISREGARD!!!!

MY first time actually working with brake lines!

My son is a Subaru expert, and showed me that not just the sleeve, but the whole female nipple comes out of the OEM PT brake line connector.

**SO...the Willwod Kit was almost perfect for this beginner.
rcktpwrd and chuzz like this.
