![]() ![]() Finally put it on. It works great with the booger bushings and is a bit shorter and angled towards the driver with a nice lean back putting it right in my hand. heres what it used to be: ![]() |

Where'd you find the new hurst shifter? Is it made especially for the PT or did you have to do a little customizing?

Looks like to me like the original Hurst stick was replaced with a Hurst black steel one, part #238 5202. That would give an 1" left and 1 3/4" back offset that would put the shifter closer to the driver instead of the neutral or centered shift stick that comes with the PT Hurst Shifter. Usually see those sticks used on Mustangs. Only possible problem I see is that the threads for the shifter ball would be 12mm X 1.75 thread instead of the standard 3/8"-16 or 7/16"-20. But most replacement Hurst sticks can be used in other applications, the mounting holes in the sticks are drilled the same. Hurst does make round shafts in that style: in black aluminum, part #538 0202, or black steel, part #538 0197.

Not Bad at all. You got the whole shifter though right?? Now just the stick and handle...
Here is picture of my Hurst Shifter with a T-Handle. I like the fell of the stick and handle better, but I think I'm going to put the old stick back on and the regular Shifter ball because it looks alot better for shows. (and yeah, I got the whole Hurst Shifter) I've had this T-Handle for close to 2 years now, and the thing just gets real dull looking... but I still like how it feels. ![]()

Wait, did you just get the Shifter stick and ball?? Or do you also have the SHIFTER too?? for $15 I highly doubt it, considering my Shifter cost over $300...
I'm confused now [:I]

Hurst quick stick short shifter kit for PT $160
Booger bushings $20 Stock 2003 Mustang shifter $15 Bullit knob $25 But i'm going to sell the original hurst stick and knob to recoup some of the costs, that hurst lever is like $45 and i could probably get $10 for the knob.

Just a warning Rally I know you're a NY'er ,too ! That billet knob gets f...in cold in the winter ! Part of the reason I ditched my B&M billet knob for regular flameball .com hair style . But then I quit drivin' the GT in the winter ,lol!
