2006PT codesP0700/P0882 ??? HELP

Our PT 2006 throwing P0700 & P0882 code. Had been having hard starting on really cold days so replaces the old battery with new one. This turned off the check engine light. I think that was because the battery was disconnected.
All seemed good for a week or so then engine light back on. Put the code reader on it and got a P0700 and P0882. Can someone tell me where the "PCM" is located also where is the "TCM" located.

The Powertrain Control Module is that easy to reach silver box at the top right, on the drivers side, next to the master cylinder. Has two big plugs on the side. This computer controls just about everything on a car, although I'm not familiar with the TIPM 2nd gen cars, so maybe someone can chime in on that? In a worst-case scenario, don't fret: These computers aren't expensive at all, compared to some cars, Around $200, with some light reprogramming possibly required.

the p0700 code is a generic code for an auto transmission error.

I dont see a p0882 code in the list.

Macgyverman1123 and rcktpwrd , thank you for the quick response and the information. I now understand that the TCM is part of the PCM in this model year so probably a replacement PCM required. I was also told to check the two ground lugs on the fender well to be sure they are a good ground. Will advise when solved John

Have you checked/cleaned the battery cable ends? I used to get a lot of spurious P700 errors when my old original battery was weak. ( they all vanished when I replaced with a nice new battery!). If you have oxidation or poor connection at the battery terminals, you can still get a voltage drop...

What does code P0882 mean?

Your on the right track...check your grounds, pull & check the battery terminals & also pull the PCM plugs & check for oil or sand.

Checked and cleaned the two grounds, battery terminals and PCU plugs. Still the check engine light came on.
I am told by the Chrysler dealership that the PCU is no longer available and I will have to try and find a used one.
The PCU numbers that will work are 5034440 AB, AC, AD or AE. Any one got one I can buy?

I bought mine a year ago (1/2020) from Car Computer Exchange

Haven't had any problems.
