Default What can I do..?

What can I do to increase performance enough to "chirp" the tires of my 2001 PT Cruiser? I have installed the Airaid intake only. It is an automatic trans. Non turbo. The only other mods I've done is to put a flame kit on (did it myself... and also installed a windshield visor (E&G Classic) that I did myself...

I know it's not a race car and I'm not looking to run up against any corvettes. I'm just looking for the fun factor![?]

Thanks for any and all suggestions....

Spend a couple grand on some kind of forced induction...

Sorry, but these are slow cars. A few intake and exhaust mods arn't going to make much of a differnce; and nobody really makes Aftermarket heads, Cams, pistons, etc. There just isn't a performance aftermarket for these cars.

Disagree -
Go to PTEnthusiasts.Org, and search posts by user BStockum. Bob Stockum has built NA PT engines with Turbo rods, cams, intake, etc.

Also - search for "shift mod" - MX-5 came up with clipping a wire that quickens the 1-2 shift in the auto, without hurting anything.

If it's just chirping off the line....mine does that everytime I want it to. It's an N/A 2001 Automatic with exhaust, open air intake, platinum plugs and upgraded wires. [:I]
