OK, GOT MY 'MAGNECOR' 8.5 WIRES, 'CHAMPION' DOUBLR PLAT PLUGS, 'SCREAMIN DEMON' COIL. WANT TO DO MY TUNE-UP THIS WEEKEND. IN READING THE SCREAMIN DEMON INSTRUCTIONS.....IT SAYS TO GAP THE PLUGS AT .065! WHATS UP WITH THAT? WHAT SHOULD MY GAP BE? I'VE HEARD .045? OR CAN I JUST USE THE GAP OUT OF THE BOX? THANKS FOR THE HELP!

The Screamin Daemon coil put out a few more Volts than the regular coil and most of the time you could open the gap to take advantage of the extra volts....BUT, it's not putting out a heck of a lot more volts and the word from Chrysler and some of the people in the know on this and other forums say to gap the PT plugs around the .040-.045in so as to stop some problems that some owners have been seeing with their PT.

I would compromise and set at 0.050 - which was what's in the manual. I think if you check the plugs out of the box, you'll find they aren't all the same - mine varied quite a bit. I set mine at 0.050, because it was a long time ago before recommendation to gap smaller - I've had no problems.
